Zealous Films receives funding for new short film - 'ZERO'.

ZERO The New South Wales Film & Television Organisation just announced the recipients for the latest YFF grant and Zealous Films was amongst the lucky few.

The project is titled ‘ZERO” and is a stop-motion animation about an oppressed zero who discovers that against all odds… nothing can be truly something.

Pre-production has already been underway for the past ten month with production scheduled for August.

Latest Film, ‘For Doris’ Now Complete

For Doris Avid tropical fish breeder JEREMY HARRIS had his sights set on winning the 'Best Fish' award. His chances were dashed after his fish, DORIS, was murdered by a rival fish enthusiast nicknamed JAWS.

Having turned his back on the sport, he's soon encouraged by best friend MARTIN BROWN to enter next year's competition.

'For Doris' delves into the strange underworld of tropical fish breeders. We follow Jeremy's quest to win first prize in memory of his beloved lost fish.

Virtuactive branches off into zealous films

After 11 years, the film and video arm of Virtuactive has branched off to form Zealous Films.

Both entities are still owned and operated by Producer/Director Christopher Kezelos who had this to say on the split.

"Virtuactive had produced a number of great, award winning films over the years. We thought it was time we drew a clear line in the sand between the web and film work".

Zealous Films will kick-start 2008 with two exciting new projects. Stay tuned.
